Features and aims of the course

Economics and Management is a Master’s degree programme in the field of business and economics aimed at training top managers, entrepreneurs, and independent professionals capable of operating within companies and organizations – both national and international – of any size and across all sectors.

The programme, which is taught in Italian, is structured into three highly professionalizing tracks:

  • CFO and Controlling Manager: prepares professionals for roles such as Heads of Administration and Finance department and Controlling manager;
  • Marketing and Sales Manager: prepares professionals for roles such as Heads of Marketing department and Heads of Sales department;
  • Business and Financial Consultant: prepares independent professionals to support business decision-making in administrative and financial areas. This track also aims to train graduates who, following an internship and the state examination, as regulated by current legislation, intend to pursue careers as Certified Accountants or Statutory Auditors.

The degree programme provides specialized training through a set of business and management courses that are highly focused and differentiated according to the chosen track. The educational offering is complemented by courses in law, mathematics and statistics, economics, and historical-sociological studies, which contribute to the development of broader competencies necessary for managing complex organizational contexts.

Particular attention is given to digital skills, which are now essential for those aiming to take on managerial or professional roles in modern organizational environments.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The educational offering is characterized by a high degree of differentiation depending on the selected curriculum.

CFO and Controlling Manager: the curriculum focuses on topics related to corporate finance, strategic control, advanced management control tools, risk management systems, and multidimensional performance measurement systems.

Marketing and Sales Manager: the curriculum is centered on topics such as business strategy, digital marketing, business marketing, sales analytics, and e-commerce systems.

Business and Financial Consultant: the curriculum focuses on topics related to business and asset valuation, statutory and extraordinary financial statements, corporate and behavioral finance, and crisis management systems.

Alongside the courses defined according to the specific features of each track, the programme also includes courses aimed at providing students with transversal skills that are valuable across all professional profiles. These include skills related to interpersonal relationship management, the development of leadership and team-building capabilities, and the design of business models and business plans.

Particularly relevant are the elective activities available to students, which are designed to provide practical skills related to the most important ongoing digitalization processes. These include the implementation and use of business intelligence and corporate performance management systems, enterprise resource planning systems, marketing automation tools, and web metrics for marketing performance analysis.
