Features and aims of the course

The Masters’ Degree in Electronics Engineering is part of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector, which represents the engine of global economic growth. In fact, in this field, the employment rate and the added value grow faster than in the entire industrial sector.

The aim of this course is to train highly qualified design engineers, able to solve technical issues and to find and design innovative solutions through their extensive competencies. This professional profile is able to coordinate teams of designers and to solve complex ITC issues by using innovative methods, techniques, and instruments. Moreover, the design engineer will be able to coordinate teams involved in the activities of promotion, trading, and providing technical assistance.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The fundamental subjects and those chosen by the student are focused on:

  • electronic and nanotechnology systems design
  • telecommunications
  • applications of electromagnetic fields
  • applications in the audio sector.

The choice of the curriculum directs students to specific study paths:

  • electronic technologies
  • communications and communication security
  • audio applications
  • system for the nautical sector.

YOUR FUTURE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduate electronics engineers will be able to perform the following activities:

  • supervision, coordination, and management of research and production teams
  • design of electronic and optoelectronic components, equipment and, systems.

They will be able to perform management and organisational activities within:

  • manufacturing companies
  • telecommunication services, as electronics engineers are skilled to design and manage electronic infrastructures for the transmission and processing of information.

STRENGTHS OF THE COURSE

The course gives great importance to software simulation and laboratory activities, with the final aim of further developing the addressed topics.

Professors involved in the course are particularly active in highly innovative sectors and pour the most important results of their research into teaching activities, by developing study activities related to research projects recognised as “of excellence”.
